geo.io is a wiki, making public domain and freely-licensed educational media content (images, sound and video clips) available to all.

We are huge Wikipedia fans and and love the idea of Creative Commons to have human knowledge and content free for anyone, anywhere, for any purpose.

geo.io goal is to

create an open wiki community with volunteers creating and mapping content around public domain locations under the Creative Common license.
mapping and creating knowledge.
provide a modern wiki layout and significantly improve reading experience.
